General information on data processing

Processing of personal data

In principle, we process personal data of our users only to the extent necessary for the provision of a functioning website including content, as well as products and services.

The processing of personal data of our users takes place regularly only with the consent of the user. An exception applies in cases where prior obtaining of consent for factual reasons is not possible and the processing of the data is permitted by applicable law.

The processed data is about:
   · Inventory data (e.g., names, addresses)
   · Contact information (e.g., e-mail, phone numbers)
   · Content data (e.g., texts, pictures, videos)
   · Usage data (e.g., visited web pages, access times)
   · Date and time of access
   · Metadata (e.g., device information, IP address, browser)

In addition, we process as required
   · Contract data (e.g., subject of contract, serial numbers),
   · payment data (e.g., Bank details, payment history),

form prospects, customers and business partners for the purpose of providing contractual services, customer care, as well as marketing and advertising.

Legal basis

Insofar as we obtain the consent of the data subject for processing of personal data, Article 6 (1) (a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) serves as the legal basis.

In the processing of personal data necessary for the performance of a contract of which the data subject is a party, Article 6 (1) (b) GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations required to carry out pre-contractual actions.

Insofar as it is necessary to process personal data in order to fulfill a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Article 6 (1) (c) GDPR serves as the legal basis.

In the event that vital interests of the data subject or any other natural person require the processing of personal data, Article 6 (1) (d) GDPR serves as the legal basis.

If processing is necessary to safeguard the legitimate interests of our company or a third party and if the interests, fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject do not outweigh the former interest, then Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing.

Storage duration and data deletion

The personal data of the data subject will be deleted or blocked as soon as the purpose of the storage is deleted.

Blocking or deletion of the data also takes place when the storage period prescribed by the standards mentioned expires, unless there is a need for further storage of the data for a contract or fulfillment of the contract.

In addition, data may be stored if provided for by the European or national legislator, in EU regulations, laws or other regulations to which the controller is subject.

Safety measures

In accordance with Art. 32 GDPR, taking into account the state of the art, implementation costs and risk assessment, we take appropriate technical and organizational measures to ensure an adequate level of protection.

This includes, in particular, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of the data by controlling physical access as well as their access rights.

 

Operation of online services

Hosting

To operate this online services, a hosting service is used, which provides infrastructure services, computing capacity, storage, security, and technical maintenance services.

Here we, or our hosting provider, process content data, usage data, metadata and communication data of customers, interested parties and visitors to this online services on the basis of our legitimate interests in an efficient and secure provision of this online services.

Data logging

We, or our hosting provider, collect data on every access to our servers (server log files) on the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Article 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The access data includes the name of the retrieved page (along with the parameters passed by), the date and time of the retrieval, the amount of data transferred, status messages, browser type, the user's operating system, referrer URL (origin) and IP address.

When contacting by e-mail, the corresponding sender and addressee address, in case of contact via VoIP (telephone / fax) the respective source and destination telephone number (maybe together with the provider, as far as transmitted) are logged by the participating servers.

Logfile information is stored for security purposes (for example, to investigate abusive or fraudulent activities) for a maximum of 7 days and then deleted. Data whose further retention is required for evidential purposes shall be exempted from the cancellation until final clarification of the incident.

E-mail or telephone contact

If a contact is made via the provided e-mail address (es), fax or telephone numbers, the transmitted personal data of the user will be stored. In this context, there is no disclosure of the data to third parties.

If the establishment of contact aims at the conclusion of a contract, the storage takes place in the context of the normal business transaction.

Rights of data subjects

Inquiry

You can request a confirmation from the data security engineer as to whether personal data concerning you is processed by us, and, if applicable, request a notice of such data, further information and a copy of the data corresponding to Article 15 GDPR.

Correction, erasure or restriction of processing

You have the right of correction and / or completion by the responsible person, provided that the processed personal data concerning you is incorrect or incomplete. The person in charge must make the corrections immediately.

According to Article 17 GDPR, you have the right to demand that the relevant data will be deleted without delay, or alternatively, that the processing of the data will be restricted in accordance with Art. 18 GDPR.

If you have exerted the right of rectification, erasure or restriction of the processing to the controller, the latter is obliged to notify all recipients to whom your personal data have been disclosed of this correction or deletion of the data or restriction of processing, unless this proves to be impossible or involves a disproportionate effort.

You have a right to the person responsible to be informed about these recipients.

Revocation / Opposition

You have the right to revoke granted consent pursuant to Art. 7 (3) GDPR with effect for the future or to object to the future processing of your data under Art. 21 GDPR at any time. The revocation of consent does not affect the legality of the processing carried out on the basis of your consent until the revocation.

The opposition may also be against processing for direct marketing purposes.

Complaint to a regulatory authority

Without prejudice to any other judicial remedy, you have the right to complain to a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of your place of residence, employment or the place of alleged infringement, if you believe that the processing of your personal data infringes the GDPR.

The supervisory authority to which the complaint has been submitted shall inform the complainant of the status and results of the complaint, including the possibility of a judicial remedy pursuant to Article 78 of the GDPR.
